About Sinag Impact
Sinag Impact is an independent, English-language media site that sheds light on social issues in the Philippines and on the people, communities, and organizations working to solve them. We cover communities, women, children and youth, education, health, the environment, livelihood, culture, and social enterprises and corporate social responsibility, together with a dedicated section for press releases.
"Sinag" is the Tagalog word for a ray of light. We write for readers in the Philippines and around the world who want to understand the challenges Filipino communities face and the efforts that are making a difference. Sinag Impact is politically neutral: we do not endorse candidates, parties, or causes, and we present contested issues by reporting the positions of each side.
