From 26% to 99%: Manila Water and the Long Road to Clean Water for Metro Manila's East Zone
In 1997, only about a quarter of households in Metro Manila's East Zone had 24-hour water. Manila Water has since raised that to 99% and cut water losses sharply, becoming a regional case study in SDG 6, though closing the sanitation gap remains a long-term task.
